Hello everyone, my name is Andrew. I am a nerd and an engineer.
Welcome to A Rookie Cyclist, a blog where I re-learn to become the cyclist I was during my teenage years. While I wasn’t a competitive cyclist, I did enjoy the breeze through my hair. So this blog is my place to share my journey as a rookie cyclist.
I married a beautiful woman named Melinda, and we have two wonderful children. We are just a typical Sydney family, minus the pets. However we probably have a few too many possessions and are looking to downsize and minimise.
After many years working hard, buying a house, getting married, and doing all those things that we are taught to do, I have become disillusioned with life. However I realise that I can not continue like this and need to do something about it. I want to change my way of thinking, and learn to accept the life that I have built for myself, and be happy with what it becomes.
I want this blog to document my journey to health and away from disillusionment
This blog documents my journey from disillusioned to enthusiastic about life. It will show the highs and the lows, the good days and the bad days.
